Member of Staff, Software Engineer (International Remote Hire)

MEMX is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our core development team, focusing on the design, development, and production support of our high-performance trading systems. This role is specifically designed for international candidates who can support our Equities and Options platforms during the US evening shift (10 PM – 6 AM EST).

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the full software development life cycle for the MEMX Trading Platform.
• Develop low-latency, high-throughput, event-sourcing applications.
• Provide primary production support and resolve software issues for our trading systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure system stability and performance.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of real-time server-side Java software development experience.
• Proven experience in low-latency, high-volume Linux production system development.
• Prior experience in the development of US Equities or Options financial services.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and systems thinking.
