Medical Coder

micro1 is seeking a skilled Medical Coder to join a dynamic project focused on training next-generation AI systems. In this role, you will apply your professional domain knowledge to shape how AI models learn and reason by providing high-quality, real-world medical data input.

Key responsibilities

• Annotate and review medical records to ensure the accurate assignment of ICD-10 and CPT codes based on clinical documentation.
• Apply Evaluation & Management (E&M) leveling using official guidelines to validate and enrich complex datasets.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities found in clinical documentation.
• Provide high-quality feedback on coding guidelines and edge cases to improve project workflows and overall model understanding.
• Contribute your specialized domain expertise to the creation and validation of medical code datasets for AI training purposes.

Requirements

• Active AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification is mandatory for this position.
• Comprehensive understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding systems alongside E&M leveling guidelines.
• Experience working with diverse clinical documentation types and navigating associated coding challenges.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail and clarity.
