micro1 is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Subject Matter Expert to join a dynamic project focused on training next-generation AI systems. In this role, you will leverage your deep domain knowledge to shape how AI models learn, reason, and perform by providing high-quality, real-world engineering input.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze and solve advanced mechanical engineering problems across disciplines such as thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and manufacturing.
- Evaluate and review AI-generated technical content to ensure engineering accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
- Apply practical engineering judgment to real-world design scenarios to ensure realistic and feasible solutions.
- Deliver constructive technical feedback to enhance the reasoning and output quality of AI models.
- Assess proposed engineering solutions for manufacturability, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, or a BS degree with at least 8 years of relevant industry experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in real-world mechanical design, product development, analysis, or R&D initiatives.
- Proven track record of delivering mechanical systems or products through to production.
- Deep expertise in Engineering Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Vibrations, and Manufacturing.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities applied to complex technical challenges.
