Mechanical Engineering Expert

Micro1 is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Expert to contribute to an innovative AI training project. This role focuses on engineering design, physical modeling, simulation, and technical problem-solving, requiring a strong command of Python to automate and validate complex engineering tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Solve and validate mechanical engineering problems involving design, analysis, simulation, and R&D.
• Translate physical systems and engineering requirements into analytical or computational models.
• Use Python to automate model preparation, simulation, parameter sweeps, optimization, and post-processing.
• Review AI-generated engineering solutions to identify reasoning errors, incorrect assumptions, and violated physical constraints.
• Develop clear, reproducible reference solutions and objective validation checks for engineering tasks.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, or a BS with 1-2 years of professional experience in design, analysis, or simulation.
• Strong understanding of applied mechanics and mechanical engineering fundamentals.
• Practical proficiency with Python for engineering applications.
• Experience with mechanical engineering, geometry, meshing, or simulation tools accessible via CLI, scripting, or programmatic APIs.
• Ability to troubleshoot simulations and determine if results are physically reasonable.
