Mechanical CAD Expert

micro1 is seeking a skilled Mechanical CAD Expert to contribute to a specialized project focused on advanced engineering assemblies. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise to help train next-generation AI systems, ensuring that models learn from high-quality, real-world engineering data.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze complex multi-part mechanical assemblies using FreeCAD to understand component relationships and design intent.
• Develop precise, objective, and non-guessable question-and-answer sets based on technical assembly data.
• Create detailed technical questions covering mechanical functions, design rationale, and dimensional considerations.
• Ensure all deliverables are unambiguous, technically accurate, and aligned with professional engineering standards.
• Maintain clear communication with project coordinators to ensure high-quality output and project alignment.

Requirements

• Proven background in mechanical engineering, aerospace, or industrial design with strong CAD proficiency.
• Expertise in interpreting complex mechanical assemblies and engineering drawings.
• Experience with FreeCAD or other major CAD platforms such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or Autodesk Inventor.
• Demonstrated ability to author clear, precise, and objective technical documentation.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
