Mathematics Expert

micro1 is seeking a Mathematics Expert to join a high-impact project focused on training next-generation AI systems. In this role, you will leverage your deep domain knowledge to shape how artificial intelligence models learn, reason, and perform by providing high-quality, real-world mathematical input.

Key responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and generate solutions to complex problems spanning pure and applied mathematics.
• Develop detailed, well-structured explanations, proofs, and technical analyses for various mathematical concepts.
• Assess the accuracy, clarity, and rigor of mathematical outputs produced by AI systems to provide actionable feedback.
• Create and annotate high-quality, domain-specific datasets to inform model training and benchmarking processes.
• Collaborate with a remote team of subject matter experts across diverse mathematical disciplines.

Requirements

• BSc, MSc, or PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience authoring research papers, mathematical proofs, or technical reports.
• Proficiency in translating complex mathematical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on precision and clarity.
• Ability to work independently and manage deliverables effectively in a fully remote environment.
