Math Expert (PhD)

micro1 is seeking highly qualified Math Experts with a PhD to join an innovative project focused on training next-generation AI systems. In this fully remote role, you will leverage your deep domain knowledge to help models learn, reason, and perform by providing high-quality, expert-level mathematical input.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive and accurate responses to complex mathematics prompts covering undergraduate and graduate curricula.
• Create and refine golden responses that serve as benchmarks for AI model training and subject mastery.
• Collaborate with a distributed team of experts to ensure the precision, clarity, and educational value of all content.
• Analyze intricate mathematical problems and proofs, distilling them into structured and accessible explanations.
• Provide feedback to improve project guidelines and content workflows to maintain high standards of quality.

Requirements

• PhD in Mathematics or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Proven track record of academic excellence and deep subject-matter expertise at the graduate level.
• Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
• Experience in authoring or reviewing mathematical materials such as textbooks, exams, or journal articles.
• Strong familiarity with various branches of both pure and applied mathematics.
