Materials Science Expert

EVB is a rapidly growing, venture-backed AI company that builds critical human intelligence infrastructure for the AI economy. We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Science Expert to contribute to an AI training project focused on computational materials science, materials modeling, and scientific simulation.

Key responsibilities

• Solve and validate complex computational materials-science and engineering problems.
• Create material structures, atomic configurations, and solver-ready inputs.
• Run atomistic, molecular-dynamics, or continuum simulations to model material properties.
• Use Python to automate calculations, process results, and validate outputs.
• Review AI-generated solutions for scientific correctness and identify technical limitations.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of materials behavior and structure-property relationships.
• Practical proficiency with Python for scientific computing.
• Experience with engineering or scientific tools operated through CLI, scripts, or programmatic APIs.
• Ability to explain complex scientific reasoning and justify modeling assumptions.
