Mainframe Migration Engineer

We are seeking a Mainframe Migration Engineer to play a pivotal role in our modernization projects, helping transition legacy mainframe workloads to modern cloud-native architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and troubleshoot JCL-based batch processes, including spool and SMF data.
• Convert legacy mainframe batch jobs into PowerShell scripts for Azure environments.
• Configure and automate complex batch job scheduling on a recurring basis.
• Optimize batch job performance by focusing on concurrency and multi-threading.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document requirements and ensure seamless migration.

Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge of Mainframe JCL, job schedulers like Control-M, and CICS environments.
• Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation within Azure.
• Experience with mainframe concepts such as GDG, PDS, and CA Ideal.
• Solid understanding of C#/.NET, SQL Server, and Azure Storage technologies.
• Proven ability to interpret legacy scripts and translate them into modern cloud solutions.
