Machine Learning Engineer

AXA Avanssur SA is an internal software house within the international AXA insurance group, providing advanced IT solutions for European markets. We are currently launching an MLOps initiative to modernize actuarial pricing models and developing an AI-powered platform that leverages GenAI to streamline document processing workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Create continuous integration templates to ensure version control, testing, and reproducibility of actuarial pricing models.
• Collaborate with the ML Engineering team and actuaries to audit and optimize the reliability and scalability of model training pipelines.
• Develop effective monitoring strategies to track the performance, reliability, and efficiency of the system.
• Manage the end-to-end operation of the AI platform to guarantee high availability, performance, and secure data handling.
• Oversee the integration and management of cloud resources to optimize cost, performance, and security compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Mastery of Data Science frameworks like pandas, pyspark, and sklearn, and MLOps tools such as MLFlow and Airflow.
• Experience building GenAI agentic workflows using Langchain or smolagents.
• Strong understanding of DevOps methodologies, CI/CD, and experience implementing GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency in serving models via APIs using FastAPI or Flask, alongside cloud platform and containerization experience.
