Linux / Kubernetes Infrastructure Engineer

Along with the dynamic development of our ERP and infrastructure landscape, We're looking for a self-driven, mid-to-senior level infrastructure engineer with strong Linux and Kubernetes skills, who is eager to expand into the IBM i / AS400 platform. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to broaden their technical footprint across modern and legacy enterprise systems.

Requirements:

• Fluent English communication.

• Solid knowledge of Linux systems administration, including:

  • Installation and configuration

  • Hardening and patching/updates

  • Monitoring

  • Performance tuning and resource optimization

• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes environments (K8s and/or K3s) — configuration, management, and day-to-day operations.

• Solid understanding of infrastructure security concepts, including experience working within a "default deny" security model.

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (firewalls, ports, routing, DNS, TLS/certificates).

• Basic knowledge of DevOps practices and automation concepts.

• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts (experience with GitLab CI/CD is a plus).

• Strong logical and analytical skills, with solid problem-solving ability, good work organization, and the ability to work independently when required.

• Willingness to learn IBM i / AS400 basic administration (training provided).

• Familiarity with enterprise environments, ERP systems, Azure / Entra ID, or Kubernetes security concepts is a plus.

Ideal Candidate:

• Can independently manage and maintain Linux-based infrastructure, while also collaborating on more complex system and cluster design.

• Is open to developing knowledge of IBM i / AS400 over time.

• Is responsible and hands-on, comfortable with operational challenges and troubleshooting in production environments.

• Is looking for a mid-to-senior level role with strong growth potential, and is willing to invest time in learning and applying a broad range of infrastructure, security, ERP, and DevOps knowledge in support of real enterprise systems.

• Thrives in a fast-paced corporate IT environment involving multiple technologies, shifting priorities, and close collaboration with ERP and Security teams.

• Demonstrates the discipline and professionalism to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as effectively as part of a team.

Recruitment:

Introductory meeting (main) – one hour – teleconference with me and the Head of the IT Department, conducted in Polish. A short switch to English will be used to verify communication skills. During this meeting, we also discuss technical scope, responsibilities, and expectations on both sides.

Second meeting (approximately one week after the first conversation, unless agreed otherwise) – in case of mutual interest, we finalize technical details and employment terms.
