Legal Counsel - Commercial, Marketing & IP - EMEA (Remote)

We are seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to join our team and play a pivotal role in protecting our brand while enabling our commercial and marketing initiatives on a global scale.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the global intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks and creative assets, while overseeing external counsel.
• Provide legal guidance to marketing teams regarding global campaigns, sponsorships, and advertising across diverse jurisdictions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including sponsorship, media, vendor, and revenue agreements.
• Coordinate with regulatory and product teams to ensure market-entry compliance and translate complex legal advice into actionable internal guidance.
• Develop and maintain internal playbooks and templates to streamline legal processes for marketing and commercial stakeholders.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with 7-10+ years of post-qualification experience in-house or in private practice.
• Proven expertise in marketing, advertising, and brand protection matters within the tech, fintech, or media sectors.
• Strong background in managing IP portfolios and coordinating with external counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
• Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements and partnership contracts.
• Ability to provide practical, clear legal advice to non-legal stakeholders and sound judgment on escalation processes.
