Lead SAP CAP Java Developer

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead SAP CAP Java Developer to join our team and drive the development of high-quality enterprise solutions. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in SAP CAP and Java to address complex technical challenges, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure the delivery of scalable, maintainable software that meets rigorous industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure on-time delivery of application features while meeting functional specifications and quality standards.
• Develop backend components using Java, REST/CXF, Spring Boot, and the SAP CAP programming model.
• Perform requirements analysis, create design documentation, and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Implement automated unit and functional tests to ensure high code coverage and system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine technical solutions and improve development processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Solid understanding of the SAP CAP programming model and RESTful API design.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, relational database concepts, and version control systems like GitHub.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and testing frameworks like JUnit, Karate, and Selenium.
• Strong knowledge of agile development practices and collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence.
