Lead Machine Learning Engineer (AI Systems)

Yard Corporate is partnering with an ambitious AI startup dedicated to building the next generation of intelligent, proactive applications. We are seeking a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to join a small, highly technical team focused on creating agent-first mobile communication platforms that simplify everyday collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Build and own end-to-end machine learning systems running in production environments.
• Develop and maintain training and fine-tuning pipelines for large-scale models.
• Design robust evaluation frameworks to measure model quality and real-world performance.
• Optimize GPU-based inference for latency, memory efficiency, cost, and scalability.
• Collaborate with research and application engineering teams to integrate advanced model capabilities into the final product.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python with hands-on experience using PyTorch or JAX.
• Proven track record of shipping production-grade ML systems rather than just prototypes.
• Solid understanding of large-model training, fine-tuning, and inference workflows.
• Experience managing GPU-based ML workloads at a meaningful scale.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with a focus on system design and performance optimization.
