Lead Engineer

FinanSys is a trailblazing company with over 28 years of experience in finance automation and robotic accounting. We are looking for a Lead Engineer to take technical ownership of UniFi, our financial process automation platform, and guide our engineering team in building the future of finance.

Key responsibilities

• Own the UniFi architecture, including .NET services, React front end, and AWS infrastructure.
• Ensure platform performance and stability by diagnosing issues and delivering robust fix plans.
• Manage the AWS estate, including monitoring, backups, deployment pipelines, and cost optimization.
• Lead the release train, ensuring fortnightly releases with proper QA sign-off and documentation.
• Mentor, hire, and develop the engineering team while maintaining high standards through code reviews.

Requirements

• Over 8 years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in a hands-on leadership role.
• Strong proficiency in .NET (C#) and experience with React or similar front-end frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL performance tuning, including query plans and indexing.
• Proven experience designing and managing AWS architecture, specifically IAM, networking, and RDS.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and multi-tenant SaaS environments.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to write clear technical documentation.
