Lead DevOps Engineer ( AWS migration)

N-iX is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to join a high-impact project focused on cloud migration and security hardening for a leading European online car marketplace. You will play a critical role in modernizing core services by migrating them to AWS and strengthening the overall security posture of the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Migrate existing services from Azure and other platforms to AWS.
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Manage AWS EKS, Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized workloads.
• Configure AWS networking, including VPCs, IAM, and load balancing.
• Identify and remediate security issues related to secrets, dependencies, and infrastructure configuration.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using GitHub Actions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of commercial DevOps experience with strong hands-on AWS expertise.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes and AWS EKS in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Experience with cloud migration projects and infrastructure hardening.
• Ability to work across multiple teams and codebases with excellent English communication skills.
• Familiarity with PHP, Python, or TypeScript to support application-level changes.
