Lead Data Platform Engineer | Remote

DCV Technologies is looking for a Lead Data Platform Engineer to join a large-scale e-commerce marketplace operating in Central and Eastern Europe. You will be responsible for the evolution of a cloud-native Data Platform on GCP, focusing on developer experience, automation, and self-service capabilities for data and machine learning teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop tools that standardize, automate, and simplify Data Platform operations.
• Build and maintain internal CLI tools for platform and Data Product management tasks.
• Design and implement Agentic AI workflows and developer-assistance capabilities.
• Maintain and enhance a shared Apache Airflow platform based on Cloud Composer.
• Contribute to GitOps adoption initiatives using tools such as Backstage, GitHub, ArgoCD, and Crossplane.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with Python development and Google Cloud Platform.
• Practical experience with BigQuery, Apache Airflow, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience building platform engineering, developer tooling, or internal self-service solutions.
• Solid understanding of GitOps principles, CI/CD processes, and data engineering concepts.
• Professional proficiency in both Polish and English.
