Lead Data Engineer (Spark)

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data management architectures and infrastructure for streaming and batch processing using technologies like Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Iceberg.
• Implement data governance processes and best practices while contributing to CI/CD and MLOps workflows.
• Collaborate with Data Science teams on predictive modeling and data analysis projects.
• Translate complex business requirements into high-performance technical solutions.
• Organize data transformations using tools such as DBT and Apache Airflow.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience in developing and maintaining Big Data systems.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala with a focus on clean code and OOP.
• Proven expertise in cloud environments, preferably AWS, and familiarity with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Trino.
• Excellent understanding of dimensional data modeling and consulting experience with direct client interaction.
• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field, combined with fluent English skills.
