Lead Data Engineer (Poland)

Ex Parte is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to oversee our AI self-service portal and a suite of microservices. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to enhance our data platform, with opportunities to expand your expertise into back-end development or machine learning based on your professional interests.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners and data experts to develop solutions for complex client challenges.
• Design, build, and maintain a distributed platform that supports all company data operations.
• Develop technical architectures and specific implementations to meet evolving business requirements.
• Guide the team by establishing software engineering best practices, documenting standards, and conducting code reviews.
• Troubleshoot existing codebases and provide structural solutions to ensure system scalability.

Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience with Spark, Python, or Scala.
• Strong proficiency in RDBMS, T-SQL, NoSQL, and DataLake environments.
• Deep expertise in database schema design, optimization, and system scalability.
• Solid understanding of cloud-based service-oriented architectures, specifically within Azure or AWS.
• Proven ability to write production-quality code and work effectively within an Agile/Scrum framework.
