Lead Data Engineer (EU)

Andersen is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join a project focused on building a scalable enterprise data and analytics platform for a financial services provider. You will play a key role in modernizing reporting capabilities and integrating complex data sources within a cloud-based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Leading the design, development, and operationalization of scalable data engineering solutions.
• Building robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Implementing medallion architecture and reusable data engineering patterns to support enterprise reporting.
• Collaborating with architects and stakeholders to translate business requirements into production-ready data products.
• Mentoring team members and establishing engineering standards and best practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of commercial experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services, including Azure Databricks, Spark, and Data Factory.
• Proven expertise in designing greenfield data platform frameworks.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices, specifically using Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling methodologies like Data Vault and Kimball.
• Intermediate or higher level of English proficiency.
