Lead Back-End Engineer (Python/AWS)

We are looking for a Lead Back-End Engineer to serve as the technical cornerstone of our custom development practice, driving the architecture and quality of our client projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the high-level design and architecture of complex, scalable back-end systems, ranging from custom SaaS platforms to enterprise integrations.
• Define and implement core back-end technology standards, coding best practices, and rigorous code review processes.
• Design and implement robust cloud infrastructure on AWS, championing serverless patterns and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and high-quality code for critical project modules while mentoring other engineers to foster their professional growth.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into elegant, scalable technical solutions.

Requirements

• Extensive senior-level experience in Python, with deep expertise in web frameworks such as Django and FastAPI.
• Proven track record of designing and managing applications on AWS, specifically using AWS Lambda and containerization tools like Docker and ECS/EKS.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating the design and implementation of scalable, distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or AWS CDK in production environments.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor technical teams.
