Kafka Reliability Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior SRE / Platform Engineer with Kafka expertise to join our team and support a critical production readiness initiative for a high-stakes booking processing platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimize Kafka topics, partitioning strategies, and consumer groups to ensure high performance.
• Define and implement monitoring strategies based on Golden Signals, including dashboards, metrics, and alerts.
• Manage SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets while driving reliability-by-design principles across distributed systems.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and quality gates to ensure seamless release management.
• Participate in incident management, post-mortem activities, and disaster recovery planning.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience as an SRE, Platform Engineer, or Reliability Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka in production environments.
• Solid knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and fluency in English.
