Junior Application Security Engineer

We are currently seeking a Junior Application Security Engineer to join our team and contribute to the security of our complex digital ecosystems.

Key responsibilities

• Address well-scoped security issues, including configuration adjustments, security headers, cookie flags, and dependency upgrades.
• Perform retesting of implemented fixes and maintain accurate documentation of the evidence.
• Assist in the triage process for new security findings.
• Utilize AI-powered tools to quickly gain insights into the technical estate and improve security posture.

Requirements

• Professional experience in software development (1-2 years) or a strong background from a relevant bootcamp or academic program.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, C#, TypeScript, Ruby, or PHP.
• Demonstrated interest in cybersecurity and a proactive approach to learning security best practices.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn about CTFs, bug bounty programs, OWASP standards, or home lab environments.
• Experience or comfort working with AI-assisted coding tools.
