JCL Mainframe Migration Engineer

We are currently seeking a JCL Mainframe Migration Engineer to join our team and lead the transformation of legacy mainframe workloads into modern, cloud-native architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and troubleshoot JCL jobs, Control-M/Atomic schedules, and CICS environments on mainframe systems.
• Convert legacy mainframe batch jobs into PowerShell scripts optimized for Azure environments.
• Configure and automate complex batch job scheduling, ensuring high performance and concurrency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document business requirements and ensure seamless migration.
• Develop and maintain secure PowerShell modules while adhering to enterprise standards.

Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge of Mainframe JCL, job schedulers like Control-M, and CICS environments.
• Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting, automation, and Azure cloud services.
• Deep understanding of mainframe batch concepts including GDG, PDS, and spool management.
• Experience with C#/.NET, SQL Server, and managing migration projects from legacy to cloud.
• Proven ability to work within Agile frameworks and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
