JavaScript Engineer, AI Code Reviewer

G2i is seeking a highly experienced Senior or Staff-level JavaScript Engineer to join as an AI Interaction Evaluator. This unique role focuses on assessing the quality of interactions with modern coding agents, such as OpenAI Codex and Claude Code, to determine if they demonstrate the judgment and reasoning of a top-tier software engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated coding interactions end-to-end to ensure they reflect strong engineering judgment.
• Assess the quality of explanations and reasoning provided by AI models rather than just checking syntax.
• Provide clear, opinionated feedback on what works, what fails, and what feels misleading in AI-assisted workflows.
• Help define the standards for what constitutes high-quality interaction when using tools like Cursor.
• Distinguish between varying levels of response quality to help refine model performance.

Requirements

• Staff or Principal-level engineering experience with a deep background in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools like OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor.
• Ability to make subjective but rigorous judgments on engineering quality without needing to execute every line of code.
• Comfortable providing direct, opinionated feedback and maintaining a high bar for engineering standards.
• Deep familiarity with modern AI-assisted development workflows and prompt design.
