Java Developer (remote work)

CloudLinux is seeking a talented and passionate Java Developer to join the Endless Lifecycle Support (ELS) team. In this role, you will contribute to providing secure Java instrumentation for heterogeneous environments, focusing on maintaining security and compatibility for legacy systems and frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze publicly disclosed vulnerabilities (CVEs) affecting Java open-source libraries and frameworks.
• Investigate and identify safe, compatible versions of third-party dependencies.
• Backport security patches from newer releases to older versions of software.
• Fix or mitigate vulnerabilities in scenarios where no upstream patch exists.
• Collaborate with security specialists to deliver high-quality, production-ready updates.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
• In-depth knowledge of Java Core and the Spring framework.
• Proficiency with dependency management tools such as Maven, Gradle, or Ant.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, or GitHub.
• Strong understanding of legacy systems and maintaining backward compatibility.
• Upper-intermediate or higher proficiency in English.
