Java Backend Engineer (fluent in Spanish)

Key responsibilities

• Drive the transition from legacy monolithic architectures to modular, microservice-based systems.
• Design and implement robust streaming pipelines and messaging solutions using Apache Kafka to handle high-volume, real-time data.
• Develop and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs, adhering to OpenAPI and Swagger standards.
• Manage containerized workloads on cloud platforms like AWS or GCP using Kubernetes, with a focus on CI/CD automation.
• Uphold engineering excellence through comprehensive testing, pair programming, and rigorous architectural design reviews.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience with a proven track record in distributed systems.
• Deep proficiency in Java and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot and Spring Data.
• Solid experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as cloud platforms.
• Proven ability to implement event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish, enabling effective communication across technical and business teams.
