FYUL is seeking a highly skilled, hands-on IT Systems Automation Engineering Manager to build and scale our newly formed IT Automation Engineering team. This cross-functional role bridges the gap between software engineering, IT administration, and infrastructure operations, focusing on defining technical architecture for internal tools and integrations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of automation and software development engineers.
- Architect, develop, and maintain automations, internal business applications, and integrations connecting IT platforms.
- Build automated environments for internally-developed applications and low-code platforms using DevOps and SRE practices.
- Stay hands-on with design, code, and reviews to provide leverage and unblock the team.
- Partner with business, security, and engineering teams to align on requirements, standards, and integrations.
Requirements
- 7+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong hands-on capability with a willingness to contribute technically up to 50% of the time.
- Extensive production-level experience with Python or JavaScript (Node.js) for system automations and middleware.
- Profound understanding of SDLC, API architecture, Git, and CI/CD orchestration.
- Solid grounding in DevOps/SRE principles and IAM architecture (SCIM, SAML, OAuth).
- Knowledge of workflow engines like Zapier, Make, or N8N.
