iOS Software Engineer

8Bit is partnering with an innovative early-stage AI company to find a talented iOS Software Engineer. You will be responsible for building the mobile experience for a next-generation proactive AI assistant, ensuring that every interaction is fast, reliable, and intuitive from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain production-quality iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Integrate AI capabilities through backend APIs to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Design intuitive AI interaction patterns, including streaming responses and graceful fallbacks.
• Optimize application performance, memory usage, and battery consumption.
• Collaborate with backend and machine learning engineers on API design and AI behavior.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional iOS development experience with Swift and SwiftUI.
• Experience integrating AI-powered features or intelligent backend services.
• Solid understanding of Swift concurrency, async/await, and background task management.
• Strong knowledge of iOS performance optimization and memory management.
• Ability to design software that handles latency and non-deterministic AI behavior.
