Investment Banking Expert

micro1 is seeking experienced Investment Banking Experts to contribute to a specialized project focused on enhancing financial data analysis, modeling, and industry research. In this role, you will leverage your deep domain expertise to help train next-generation AI systems, ensuring that models learn from high-quality, real-world financial inputs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive company and industry research to inform data-driven AI training initiatives.
• Perform and review buyer or target screening, comparable company analysis, and complex financial modeling tasks.
• Build, update, and troubleshoot detailed Excel-based valuation and transaction models to ensure methodological accuracy.
• Prepare and edit high-level materials such as pitchbooks and client presentations reflecting strategic rationale.
• Analyze sample materials for numerical errors or logical weaknesses, providing actionable feedback for improvement.

Requirements

• Experience as a former Senior Associate or Vice President from an M&A or industry-coverage team at a leading investment bank or advisory firm.
• Substantial hands-on exposure to live acquisition or sale processes with a track record of high-quality deliverables.
• Mastery in Excel modeling, including scenario analysis and the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to produce and review analytical materials that meet rigorous senior banker or client standards.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and strategic insight.
