Intern Software Engineers - C/C++

Arista Networks is seeking talented Intern or Graduate Software Engineers to join our Platform team. We are an industry leader in data-driven, client-to-cloud networking, dedicated to innovation in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and software-defined networking.

Key responsibilities

• Write Linux user space and kernel code to manage DMA operations and IOMMU controllers.
• Access ASIC registers via SPI, SMbus, PCIe, and I2C to implement high-resolution timers and gather network congestion statistics.
• Develop configuration management services using Go and Python to support standardized switch configuration protocols.
• Develop routing protocol agents in C/C++ within a Linux embedded environment to ensure high performance and availability.
• Contribute to a fully automated, Python-based continuous test harness to maintain high software quality.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency or aptitude in C and C++.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and Linux embedded systems.
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• A passion for programming and solving complex technical challenges.
