Infrastructure engineer

emagine Polska is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a project for a client based in Stockholm. This role focuses on building, maintaining, and evolving Buildkite agent infrastructure and pipeline tooling to provide a streamlined, automated, and secure build platform for engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and evolve the Buildkite CI strategy, scaling agent pools and pipelines to support thousands of engineers.
• Manage and improve self-hosted Buildkite agent fleets across Linux, macOS, and Windows to ensure they remain healthy and cost-efficient.
• Build and maintain Buildkite-powered infrastructure, pipeline templates, and shared libraries to standardize build execution.
• Drive automation for agent provisioning, scaling, and lifecycle management across diverse technology stacks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver a best-in-class CI platform.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building and operating large-scale systems with a strong understanding of software engineering best practices.
• Proficiency in Java and Python, along with experience in Linux, macOS, and Windows environments.
• Hands-on experience with Buildkite or a strong interest in mastering agent management and pipeline configuration.
• Experience deploying solutions in cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and networking fundamentals.
