Impact & Insights Officer

Media Development Investment Fund (MDIF) is seeking an Impact & Insights Officer to help measure, understand, and communicate the impact of our global investments across public interest information companies. This role sits at the intersection of data analysis, monitoring and evaluation, and strategic insight, where you will transform data into compelling narratives that support decision-making and demonstrate value to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance MDIF’s impact measurement framework and underlying data systems.
• Collect, analyze, and visualize data across a global portfolio while developing dashboards and reporting tools.
• Produce quarterly and annual impact reports for internal and external audiences.
• Standardize data collection processes and ensure data quality across teams and partners.
• Monitor sector trends and translate findings into actionable insights.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in impact measurement, data analysis, or monitoring and evaluation.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
• Proficiency with data tools including SQL, business intelligence software like Power BI or Tableau, Python or R, and Excel.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for diverse audiences.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and alignment with MDIF’s mission.
