IBM Z Db2 System Programmer

Cyclad is seeking an experienced IBM Z Db2 System Programmer to join a team dedicated to maintaining and optimizing high-performance mainframe environments. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and reliability of Db2 for z/OS systems while contributing to long-term technical projects.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Db2 for z/OS environments and related software products.
• Perform system upgrades, software maintenance, and performance tuning to ensure optimal capacity.
• Manage Db2 security, access controls, and authorization rules using RACF or ACF2.
• Support disaster recovery planning and functional testing of backup environments.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and coordinate incident resolution across teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an IBM Z Db2 System Programmer or in a similar mainframe technical role.
• Strong hands-on expertise in installing and customizing Db2 for z/OS.
• Solid knowledge of SMP/E for software maintenance in an MVS environment.
• Proficiency with IBM utilities, JCL, and mainframe file structures.
• Experience with performance monitoring tools and disaster recovery processes.
