HR Data Product Owner / Business Analyst

Margo is seeking a dedicated HR Data Product Owner / Business Analyst to coordinate the functional delivery of a Databricks data product. This role serves as a vital bridge between business stakeholders, HR, data owners, and engineering teams to ensure the development of reliable, well-documented, and compliant data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end delivery of data platform initiatives, from initial discovery and scope definition to final validation and transition.
• Gather, analyze, and document complex business and data requirements.
• Translate business needs into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria within Jira.
• Validate data quality, consistency, and the integrity of business rules across various data sources.
• Maintain comprehensive project and data documentation in Confluence to ensure transparency.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Tech Product Owner, Business Analyst, or System Analyst.
• Strong understanding of data structures, pipelines, transformations, and data quality management.
• Practical knowledge of data privacy principles and responsible data use, especially regarding employee information.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with Privacy, Legal, and Security stakeholders to mitigate risks.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, Jira, and Confluence.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Azure data services, Workday, and Power BI is considered a significant advantage.
