Head of Payments & Identity

JustMarkets is seeking a Head of Payments & Identity to lead an engineering domain responsible for the complete user and money lifecycle. You will oversee approximately 30 engineers and leaders, transforming our payment capabilities across Payments, KYC/Identity, Anti-Fraud, and Core Ledger systems to ensure seamless, secure, and compliant financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Build and scale the engineering domain, defining organizational structure, team boundaries, and leadership models.
• Define domain strategy, target architecture, and execution roadmaps in collaboration with Product, Finance, and Compliance teams.
• Ensure the resilience, observability, and security of external integrations, including incident response and quality standards.
• Balance user onboarding and payment conversion with strict Anti-Fraud, AML, and data protection requirements.
• Establish domain-wide engineering standards covering architecture, secure development, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading sizeable engineering organizations or multiple cross-functional teams of 30+ people.
• Strong systems thinking with the ability to connect customer journeys, product flows, and financial outcomes.
• Experience leading complex integrations and business-critical systems where correctness and auditability are essential.
• Ability to align diverse stakeholders including Product, Finance, Risk, and Operations to resolve competing priorities.
• Fluent English and strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
