Head of Finance

Vana Foundation is a layer-1 blockchain project dedicated to building a decentralized data economy where individuals own and govern the data powering artificial intelligence. We are seeking a Head of Finance to provide strategic discipline, treasury management, and financial rigor to our rapidly growing ecosystem as we scale our operations at the frontier of data and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Determine and manage the optimal allocation between native tokens, stablecoins, and fiat reserves to ensure long-term sustainability.
• Oversee liquidity across exchanges, coordinating with market makers and trading desks to maintain orderly markets.
• Develop financial mechanisms such as buybacks, staking strategies, and yield optimization to enhance network stability.
• Build financial models and scenario analyses to guide tokenomics, supply schedules, and capital strategy.
• Oversee accounting, budgeting, and cashflow management while ensuring audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with founders on investor engagement, fundraising, and the negotiation of strategic financial partnerships.

Requirements

• Extensive background in finance, investment banking, or corporate finance with direct exposure to crypto, DeFi, or Web3 markets.
• Demonstrated experience managing treasury strategy, liquidity, and investor relations in high-growth environments.
• Strong grasp of financial instruments, trading structures, and market mechanics relevant to digital assets.
• High integrity and discretion, with the ability to act with transparency and accountability in a decentralized environment.
• Excellent relationship management skills, capable of engaging with investors, market makers, and strategic partners.
