micro1 is seeking expert Senior Software Engineers to contribute to an innovative project focused on training next-generation AI systems. In this role, you will apply your deep domain knowledge to create Reinforcement Learning Environments that challenge AI models to solve complex software engineering problems, including code refactoring, feature creation, and performance optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute expert-level code samples and development insights in languages such as Python, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software defects and performance bottlenecks within diverse codebases.
• Implement robust new features while ensuring scalability, maintainability, and adherence to industry best practices.
• Refactor and optimize legacy code to improve overall clarity, efficiency, and long-term system reliability.
• Document technical reasoning and solution approaches to enhance the quality of AI training data.

Requirements

• Significant hands-on expertise in at least one of the following: Python3, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and core software engineering principles.
• Proven ability to debug complex systems and deliver effective optimizations.
• Experience with large codebase refactoring and modernizing legacy systems.
• Strong documentation skills to articulate technical concepts clearly and accurately.
• Active open source contributions or a professional profile on platforms like GitHub or GitLab.
