GIS Data Analyst (EU Public)

We're looking for an experienced GIS Analyst who will provide Cartography, Geospatial and geo intelligence analyses.

This time you have the chance to be part of a project related to the development, consulting and support of IT systems for Frontex. The European Border and Coast Guard Agency supports EU Member States and Schengen-associated countries in the management of the EU's external borders and the fight against cross-border crime.

Our expectations

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in a relevant field

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in IT

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in similar position (GIS area)

• Experience in creating requests for data to OGC services and other data APIs.

• Experience in design of data-driven map templates.

• Experience in building geoprocessing services hosted on ArcGIS Server.

• Very good knowledge of ArcGIS Pro data processing tools.

• Experience in applying SQL commands.

• Working knowledge of geodata emerging technology and tools including ESRI’s ArcGIS platform.

• Expertise in Python programming language

• Strong knowledge in applying ArcSDE tools and processes in enterprise geodata.

• Proficient in ArcGIS software and programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, SQL.

• Proficiency in English at a minimum B2 level (certification is an advantage).

• Readiness to work from the client's office (Warsaw) occasionally – at least 5 times per month

Presonal Security Clearance - Is required (security screening proc. must be initiated within first 45 days of assignment)

Main responsibilities

• Support on daily general geodata tasks

• Management of unclassified/classified geospatial data based on enterprise ArcSDE.

• Maintenance of metadata.

• Contribution and validation of geodata dictionaries and taxonomies.

• Maintenance and integrity of geo-data ensuring data accuracy and reliability by means of ArcSDE tools.

• Creation of geoprocessing tools based on Python, model builder or other technology.

• Implement procedures to validate and improve the quality of spatial data

• Participation in meetings with the project teams.
