GEOINT Analyst (EU Public)

We're looking for an experienced GIS Analyst who will provide Cartography, Geospatial and geo intelligence analyses.

This time you have the chance to be part of a project related to the development, consulting and support of IT systems for Frontex. The European Border and Coast Guard Agency supports EU Member States and Schengen-associated countries in the management of the EU's external borders and the fight against cross-border crime.

Our expectations

• Master's degree, preferably in a relevant field

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in IT

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in similar position (GIS area)

• Working knowledge of GIS software and analysis tools including ESRI’s ArcGIS platform.

• Working knowledge in operational GEOINT exploitation processes, policies and production cycles.

• Working knowledge in GEOINT collection, as well as the fundamental methodologies of Full Spectrum GEOINT (FSG) or Advanced GEOINT (AGI).

• Expertise in designing and producing digital maps with geographic data.

• Expertise in geo-data management.

• Experience in analyzing, discovering patterns and trends through spatial mapping of data,

• Producing maps showing spatial distribution from various source of information.

• Design, create and maintain geoprocessing tools.

• Proficiency in English at a minimum C1 level (certification is an advantage).

• Readiness to work from the client's office (Warsaw) occasionally – at least 5 times per month

Main responsibilities

• Analyzing Geographic from several sources of information to gather and analyze spatial data for creating maps and reports that inform strategic planning.

• Supporting decision making by providing insights based on geospatial analysis to guide decisions on border management.

• Maintain databases of geographic information and ensure data accuracy and reliability.

• Developing Intelligence Products such as maps, charts, and graphs to communicate complex geospatial information effectively.

• Work with analysts, field operators, and policy makers to integrate geospatial intelligence into comprehensive plans and operations.

• Stay updated with the latest developments in GIS technology and geospatial analysis techniques.
