General Counsel

ZeptoLab is seeking a General Counsel to serve as a trusted legal partner, navigating complex international legal matters and driving operational excellence. This senior, hands-on role is ideal for a legal generalist who enjoys solving diverse challenges and leveraging modern technology to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Advise the business on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions, with a focus on the UK.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, including publishing, licensing, IP, SaaS, and strategic partnerships.
• Partner with business leaders to identify legal risks, provide pragmatic recommendations, and support informed decision-making.
• Manage intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and IP protection.
• Drive GDPR compliance, privacy governance, and data processing agreements.
• Introduce AI-powered legal workflows and automation for contract drafting, research, and compliance monitoring.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a senior in-house legal counsel or general counsel in an international company.
• Proven in-house legal experience within the game development industry.
• Broad international legal experience with strong expertise in UK corporate and commercial law.
• Strong background in commercial contracts, licensing, and intellectual property.
• Business-oriented mindset with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Passion for improving legal processes through AI and modern legal technologies.
