GCP Platform Engineer

AgileEngine is an Inc. 5000 company that creates award-winning software for Fortune 500 brands and trailblazing startups. We are currently seeking a skilled GCP Platform Engineer to architect and manage cloud infrastructure, with a primary focus on leading a dedicated AWS-to-GCP migration workstream.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and maintain GCP cloud resources using Terraform and other automation tools.
• Manage and optimize workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and serverless environments like Cloud Run.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to ensure efficient deployment workflows.
• Assess existing AWS infrastructure to define and execute target GCP architectures, including data migration and workload cutover.
• Utilize AI coding assistants for migration analysis, implementation, and documentation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering with a strong focus on GCP services.
• Hands-on expertise in GKE, Docker, Helm, and cloud networking.
• Proven experience in at least one real-world AWS-to-GCP migration project.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and infrastructure provisioning.
• Upper-intermediate English proficiency and experience with cloud security principles.
