GCP Data Engineer - BigQuery & dbt Core

DCV Technologies is seeking a skilled GCP Data Engineer to join a project focused on the migration and modernization of a Data Quality monitoring solution. You will play a key role in transitioning legacy processes to Google Cloud Platform, ensuring that data remains accurate, consistent, and reliable for business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust data pipelines and ELT processes within a cloud environment.
• Implement comprehensive Data Quality metrics and validation controls using dbt Core.
• Migrate existing data quality controls from legacy systems to Google BigQuery.
• Collaborate with data modelers, business analysts, and test engineers to deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Optimize the performance of data quality executions and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with strong proficiency in SQL.
• Hands-on experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
• Practical knowledge of dbt Core and modern data transformation workflows.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on data quality monitoring and validation concepts.
• Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams to solve complex data challenges.
