GCP Data Architect - freelance

Lingaro is seeking an experienced GCP Data Architect to join our team in a freelance capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing robust data architectures, ensuring that our data engineering solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with long-term business strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and oversee comprehensive data architecture and infrastructure, ensuring high performance and adherence to industry best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into effective data engineering solutions.
• Define data models and schemas while selecting appropriate technologies for data lakes, warehouses, and processing frameworks.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data engineering teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Evaluate and implement data governance, privacy, and security measures across all data systems.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience as a Data Architect, with a minimum of 4 years specifically working with GCP cloud-based infrastructure.
• Deep expertise in data engineering concepts, including ETL processes, data modeling, and pipeline design.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, along with experience using modern data transformation tools like DBT or Dataform.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on distributed computing and system optimization.
