Game Mathematician

Partyhat is seeking a highly skilled Game Mathematician to serve as a Volatility Architect for our iGaming ecosystem. You will be responsible for designing the mathematical heart of our slot machines, engineering the numerical frameworks that drive player suspense and excitement through precise probability and statistical modeling.

Key responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and calibrate advanced mathematical models for slots, balancing RTP targets with engaging gameplay mechanics.
• Write clean, efficient Java code to build out math engines, game logic components, and high-fidelity simulation frameworks.
• Collaborate with graphics artists, sound designers, and product managers to ensure math translates into high-quality player experiences.
• Execute large-scale simulations to stress-test models and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Analyze live game metrics and player telemetry to refine math models for future titles.

Requirements

• World-class mastery of probability theory, combinatorics, and statistical modeling.
• Robust, hands-on experience writing and deploying clean code in Java.
• Deep understanding of iGaming mechanics and what drives player retention and excitement.
• High availability to manage real-time simulation pivots, launch validations, and urgent math revisions.
