Fullstack Software Engineer

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, providing consumers with flexible payment options without hidden fees. We are looking for a Fullstack Software Engineer to join our Servicing International team, which is building the foundational platform for our global expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with your team and stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects while balancing speed and system reliability.
• Develop and maintain scalable solutions for purchase protection, disputes, refunds, and agent tooling.
• Engage in proactive communication regarding project risks, trade-offs, and technical progress.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure the stability and performance of our services.
• Contribute to team growth and development by participating in knowledge sharing and community activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and launching APIs at scale using languages such as Python or Kotlin.
• Practical experience in shipping web applications using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
• Ability to translate complex business scenarios into clear, well-tested, and extensible code.
• Comfortable navigating large codebases, debugging, and providing constructive feedback through code reviews.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to support effective collaboration within a global engineering organization.
