Full-Stack Engineer (Backend Leaning) - Payments Engineering

Jobgether is seeking a skilled Full-Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus to join a dynamic team building critical payment infrastructure for a leading AI technology platform. You will play a pivotal role in evolving billing, usage tracking, and financial processing systems that support millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reliable payment and billing systems that support complex pricing models and revenue operations.
• Build and improve usage-tracking and metering systems to ensure accurate measurement of customer activity with minimal latency.
• Lead the modernization of enterprise pricing infrastructure, including the development of robust stream-processing services.
• Collaborate with Finance and Tax teams to ensure compliance, reporting accuracy, and seamless integration of new payment providers.
• Investigate and resolve complex billing issues by analyzing system behavior and implementing lasting technical solutions.

Requirements

• Strong Python expertise with a proven ability to build maintainable, reliable, and efficient backend software.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience in production debugging, including the ability to analyze logs and identify root causes in complex systems.
• A methodical approach to system migrations, prioritizing data integrity, security, and backward compatibility.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills to work effectively with product, growth, and finance stakeholders.
