Frontend Engineering Team Lead - MarTech

Sporty Group is seeking a Frontend Engineering Team Lead to join our Marketing Tech and Social domain. In this role, you will combine hands-on technical leadership with line management, driving the architecture and delivery of high-performance software solutions while mentoring a talented team of developers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Frontend developers, managing performance, career development, and work allocation.
• Drive high-level architecture decisions and lead major technical migrations, including the transition to Nuxt.js and Server-Side Rendering.
• Focus on performance engineering, optimizing site load speeds, Core Web Vitals, and technical SEO for high-traffic environments.
• Maintain a hands-on contribution level through coding, architecture design, and rigorous code reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, backend engineers, and product teams to refine requirements and deliver high-quality features.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on Frontend technologies.
• 2+ years of formal leadership or line management experience, including mentoring and performance evaluations.
• Technical mastery of JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS preprocessors, Webpack, and state management architectures like Vuex.
• Proven track record in executing large-scale web migrations and optimizing for high-traffic, high-scale platforms.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
