Frontend Engineer

micro1 is seeking skilled Frontend Engineers to join a project focused on training next-generation AI systems. You will apply your UI development expertise to create reinforcement learning environments that test AI models on real-world software engineering tasks, including bug fixes and feature development.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute high-quality code samples and debugging approaches using JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve UI bugs, layout issues, and complex state-related problems across diverse codebases.
• Develop clean, reusable, and maintainable interface features while improving existing component code for better performance.
• Document your technical reasoning and development decisions to ensure the highest quality of AI training data.
• Review technical submissions and peer-contributed code to maintain standards of correctness and clarity.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience building user interfaces with JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, responsive design principles, and component-based architecture.
• Proven ability to debug UI issues using browser developer tools and analyze rendering behavior.
• Comfortable navigating unfamiliar codebases and adapting to different project structures quickly.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical decisions clearly.
