Freelance Curriculum Content Developer

ScribeConcepts is seeking a skilled Curriculum Content Developer to join our network of independent consultants. In this role, you will provide vision and leadership in the design and development of highly effective educational products, working closely with our publishing operations team to integrate research-based pedagogy into market-leading content.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality educational products tailored to specific client needs.
• Act as a project manager to ensure the successful delivery of curriculum content through all production phases.
• Weave subject matter expertise and research-based pedagogy into engaging learning materials.
• Review content to ensure strict standards alignment, clarity, and overall cohesion.
• Collaborate across teams to maintain consistency and quality in both digital and print development projects.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience developing K-12 content for state or national level publication.
• At least 2 years of professional teaching experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams and participate in curriculum design at an organizational level.
• Strong familiarity with publishing tools such as content templates, InCopy, and assessment platforms.
• Deep understanding of grade-appropriate content, pedagogy, and current educational research.
